Toronto ACORN Internet for All action- Tell the City to make ConnecTO for the people, not Corporations!

Toronto ACORN members are having the Internet for All action on Tuesday July 6th at 11am at the City Hall (100 Queen St W), demanding the City to make ConnecTO community owned, community controlled and $10 internet for all low and moderate income people! Toronto ACORN members also demand Big Telecoms like Bell and Rogers to be banned from taking over ConnecTO, to have community representation in ConnecTO and not Corporation control! The City is having it`s Executive meeting that morning, so ACORN members will be there to keep the pressure on!

Thanks to the efforts of ACORN members for years, the City of Toronto is beginning to address the issue of internet affordability through a program called ConnectTO. We cannot have low and moderate income communities left out of the conversation. We need to keep the pressure alive to make sure the program ConnectTO is what our low and moderate income communities need! We will be joined by allies from the community!

So join us, we need you there!
